Windows Media Center included in Windows 7 is a complete multimedia interface for playing videos, pictures and TV that has a visual appearance slightly likeable.

With this free tool that we will show, Media Center Studio, we can change the appearance of the default theme of Windows Media Center or create new ones.

Install and Windows Media Center to create themes

First, download the online installer and install the application.

Once Media Center Studio is installed, you can create a theme ourselves, or download themes for Media Center Studio.

The creation of a new theme, is a major effort to create the different buttons, icons, backgrounds and transitions. In this tutorial we teach you how to change the main background image and how to install new themes.

Install new themes

After downloading the theme, we must click on File> Import Theme

After importing the MCT file from the thems of Media Center Studio, the main window will appear. Now, we turn to the Themes menu and click Apply to make changes in Windows Media Center.

Remember that to apply the changes, Windows Media Center should be closed.

Change the background of Windows Media Center

To change the background of Windows Media Center with Media Center Studio, we go to the main program window and double click on Current Theme.

Navigate to the panel on the left to Route Images> Common -> Background. We must change the entry COMMON.BACKGROUND.PNG for the image we desire by clicking Browse and select our image.
 

Then we go to the Theme menu and click Apply to make changes.

As we have seen is not very difficult to change the them and the background of Windows Media Center, another tedious task, the number of elements included in Windows Media Center is to create a new topic.

Basically, creating a new theme is to change all the elements we want, just as we did with the background. Then we can save or export item to share.
