Not everyone has a great diagonal TV to play games. So, Sony has decided to release a monitor instead of connecting to a computer it can be connected via HDMI with the PS3. Its name is CECH-ZED1, a widescreen monitor compatible with images in three dimensions, and has a diagonal of 24 inches.

For now, goes on sale in the U.S. market at a price of $500, that is about 345 euros, but as usual, in the European market will more expensive. Of course, the series comes with a pair of 3D glasses, a HDMI cable, and the game Resistance 3. It should be clear that this is not a TV. It has no tuner of any kind.

CECH-ZED1 monitor is compatible with different 3D systems and provides a contrast of 5000:1. The Japanese company has taken into account the fact that several people can play simultaneously, and therefore have offered a viewing angle of 176 degree. Video games are displayed in all its glory thanks to the response of 4 ms. It also includes specific game mode for two players. Just players need to wear two glasses so that each receives a different image, but in full screen instead of split screen like other monitors on the market.

As a game screen, is equipped with good sound, which consists of two speakers who are responsible for the mid and high frequencies, plus a subwoofer to supplement the lower frequencies. It is placed in the back of the screen. But the fact that it has three speakers, hardly influenced the thickness as it is reduced to 35 mm in its thickest parts. The design is pretty, even elegant. By the way, has a quick start mode that turns the screen in just a second.
