The best battery managers for laptops
When buying a laptop you should always be careful with the issue of PC consumption and the integrated battery that comes standard. Having a good battery in our laptop is about 30% or 40% of the importance of it.
If you actually use the laptop as a true portable, you well know that you have to controll your battery to get the most out of it.
I know leave a list of some battery monitors to help you in the task of taking care of it.
BatteryBar
Simple and effective application. It stays in the taskbar next to the clock. It shows the basic specifications such as remaining battery time and how long it takes to fully charge, but other specifications in relation to the battery. Its free version is very complete, and to acquire the paid version it does not cost much, only costs $10.
Vista Battery Saver
As the name implies, this is a battery manager for Windows Vista, very functional and simple. In theory it says it can save our battery power up to 70%. It can control many options independently to operate automatically.
Alarm Battery
No major features in terms of saving or protecting, this manager warns us with a sound when the battery is about to die, which can be of great help if you're watching a movie. It also can alert you with a beep when the battery is fully charged.
Power Meter Plus
Simple, very simple, but functional. It is only 135 KB, and basically all it does is show the battery status. A bar that becomes transparent when the battery is 100% charged, and that opacity wines down as the battery is discharged.
Turn off LCD
This application is not to measure the battery or to see specifications. The function is quite clear it turns off the screen with a single click on its icon and thus save energy significantly. Is great when we are downloading a file or listening to music and we do not use of the screen.
All these applications will be of great help to optimize the use of your battery. However, the most obvious advice I can give is to try to easy on the use :).
