Asus Mars II a beast that takes ... three PCIe slots
Maybe you remember that first Asus MARS, a limited edition of 1,000 units launched by Asus on the NVidia GTX 295. A lot of graphics card that few will ever use, and whose purpose was effectively restricted to overclocking tests and public demonstrations.
Well, we knew that sooner or later we would hear about the Asus Mars II and here it is. With the passage of time has evolved and now is based on the NVIDIA GTX 590 and being almost identical to it except for the outside: Uses a set of brutal heatsinks occupying three PCIe slots, thus becoming the first graphics card that passes from the two slots design and therefore the "greatest" of them all.

In part this is because the new internal sinks and radiators (part aluminum, part of copper) substantially increase the weight of the card, it is necessary to sustain further anchoring of the unit. They are also use the new 8-pin outlets, four of them need to feed it properly. The outer shell is completely customized and follow the colors and layout of the family of Asus Republic of Gamers

As regards to price you can imagine: $1,000 , possibly starting - though not yet confirmed - a limited edition, as we have said, overclocking oriented pure and simple. If you're thinking of buying it I assure you that there are much better options ... unless you're a fan of overclocking, of course.
