Toshiba has introduced its new portable 3D to the Qosmio family, the F750 3D. This is notebook is clearly focused for multimedia use and is the first of its kind that does not need glasses to display images in three dimensions. Moreover, its 15.6-inch screen is so far the only able to display 2D and 3D images simultaneously. This allows us to see a 3D video in a window while in another we can do something else on the Internet or read the mail for example.
 


To achieve the effect without the use of 3D glasses, Qosmio F750 3D uses a switchable active lens that divides the images being displayed on the screen, redirecting the left and right eye respectively. A face tracking system using a high-definition web camera that can detect the position of the user's face and adjust the image to get a proper view from any angle. In addition, the F750 can convert 2D images to 3D in real time.

Apart from 3D performance, another notable feature in the Qosmio F750 3D is the use of a hybrid hard drive technology. This device consists of a section of conventional hard disk of 500GB at 7200 rpm, combined with some SSD, or 4GB solid-state. This configuration makes these disks much faster than traditional ones. The F750 also has a 3D rewritable Blu-Ray XL drive with up to 100GB capacity.

As the core of the computer, the Qosmio F750 3D comes with an Intel Core i7 Quad-Core and 8GB of DDR3 RAM. The graphics processing is done by NVIDIA GeForce 540M GT with 2GB and the operating system included is Windows 7 64-bit Premium . The system also includes a sound system with Harman Kardon stereo system support Dolby Advanced Audio Coding. Completing the list it also features a HD webcam with facial recognition technology and a TV tuner with remote control.

The price of the Toshiba Qosmio F750 3D is 1,700 euros and will be available in late July.
