Intel anxious for the arrival of the era of ultrabooks
When a company the size of Intel "speaks", the industry and the market "listen". And the Santa Clara firm has shouted loud and clear when it announced the companies firm intention to place its technology to focus on them, to thus promote the launch of a new category of laptops: The ultrabooks.
These machines combine the lightness and slimness of an ultralight tablet one that is sophisticated even now, with power of laptops most capable and genuine autonomy to facilitate its use, at least for a full day's work. Also, incorporate the latest security technologies to ensure that user data is always safe.
Intel's commitment to the future of this innovative range of portable PCs is absolute. So much so that those responsible at the company, are conscious of the need to develop new technologies to equip ultrabooks with qualities mentioned here, and they have decided to create an investment fund of 300 million dollars used to reinforce those business initiatives that contribute to the development of the new platform.
All the major companies involved in the market for consumer electronics have been quick to express their interest in the new laptops. Some have even taken the celebration in Berlin in early September at IFA to showcase their ultrabook prototypes. The first proposals come from Asus, Samsung, Sony, Lenovo and Acer, among other companies that are expected to hit store shelves in time to participate in the Christmas season and will be run by Intel Second Generation Core (Huron River). But its final consolidation will occur in 2012, a year in which the sale of ultrabooks will represent 40% of the market according to intel. What do you think of Ultrabooks ?
