AMD shows off the graphics processor for notebooks that claims to be the fastest on the market
AMD has released the Radeon HD 6990M a GPU-oriented towards "hard gamer", which the company exceeds 25 percent the speed of its nearest competitor.
Matt Skynner, AMD corporate vice president and head of the graphics division of the Californian company, has unveiled the new GPU that offers Eyefinity technology, which allows the use of multiple displays simultaneously.
It also has support for DirectX 11, HD3D and Stereo 3D, for a more realistic laptop gaming experience.
The AMD VP also indicated that Radeon HD 6990 manages to improve the rate of frame rate and increase the clock speed of the graphics processor so it can run smoothly in games with high technical requirements.
In regard to its availability in the market, the new GPU is now available when you buy an Alienware M18x laptop computers from Dell or a P150HM and P170HM from the Clevo Taiwanese brand.
