Gigabyte releases one of its highest-end boards around its Z68 which features some functions to actually keep the customer interested in a board like this.

This board is a dream for any user or those who seek to maximize their options with first class integration and an entire catalog of services that are up to par with a few models on the market. A marvel of which Gigabyte has made every effort and it's hard not to satisfy even the most demanding.

The board enjoys an excellent manufacturing quality with components and systems of the latest generation.

GIGABYTE Z68 series motherboards are equipped with the much anticipated Intel® Smart Response Technology, allowing users to experience system performance similar to SSD only systems. Intel® Smart Response technology works by using intelligent block-based caching of frequently used applications to improve system performance and responsiveness. In fact, GIGABYTE Z68 motherboards with Intel® Smart Response Technology are able to outperform hybrid drive systems by more than 2X (PC Mark Vantage) and HDD-only systems by as much as 4X (PC Mark Vantage).

The thermal design of Z68X-UD7 also focuses much of its efforts to cool the two chips of the board, south bridge and PCI Express bridge, while providing power to the cooling zone that expels any conventional system around the CPU itself. This will achieve tighter operating temperatures and higher overclocking capability in situations where the system is actually loaded as can be when playing games with advanced graphics systems.

Among other interesting features are also Dolby Home Theater, the POST display for detailed information of any error on startup, the possibility that when the system becomes idle when we don't have our Bluetooth mobile phone near the system, dynamic adjustment of consumption by Dynamic Energy Saver 2 or XHD tube system that allows RAID 0 systems automatically connect as two identical records to 6Gbps SATA ports.

I can not say more than that this board has it all. Well done, very complete and even the PCB is nice glossy black. It is a board with a very specific audience who appreciate eccentricities such as its pwer supply, or having available 10 USB 3.0 ports as standard. Eccentricities that is precisely why it takes the leap from a mid-range or medium-high to exceptional products such as the Gigabyte Z68X-UD7.

There are only but a couple of drawbacks, first the price, which I would like it for me to be more affordable and on the other issue is it is missing a more easier way to reset the bios without having to manipulate the board, although its system to correct errors when something is wrong in our overcloc, the truth is that it works pretty well.

Overall a very capable motherboard, which inherits the benefits of being one of the best P67 motherboard in market by introducing some new improvements into the Z68. Therefore Gigabyte's is a sure bet for users who want one of the best motherboards with this chipset.
