This convertible tablet laptop features a lightweight, durable chassis, as well as its long battery life, extending up to ten hours of use

Analysis

Against the majority of tablets, designed mainly for leisure, Panasonic is committed to the professional sector with this strengthened convertible notebook (belonging to the family of this rugged signature).

The first thing that stands out about it is is frame, made of a magnesium alloy which gives it extraordinary strength and fairly light weight (1.49 kg with one of the two batteries that comes standard.) Its other great attraction is its touch screen, which allows us to switch between notebook and tablet with only rotating its axis.

However, to enter data it is better to use the included stylus, using fingers is not recommended it is not the most convenient and accurate (there is an option, however, to choose a capacitive screen instead).

As for the keyboard and touchpad it takes some getting used at first (being that the keys are too close together), while the latter has the distinction of being circular, very practical solution to move the sidebar.

Components and performance

Faced with its sleek design, some of its components do we look for improvement: 2 Gbytes of memory and 250 GB hard drive are low for todays standards, while the configuration we tested had no optical drive or standard webcam.

In the graphics department, for a computer to designed for a company, we also found some limitations with the integrated graphics of the Intel HD with only 64 MB of dedicated memory. The results is a score of 1,118 in 3DMark06. Instead, autonomy is at the level thanks to two built-in batteries: approximately 10 hours of normal use (according to the manufacturer) and 2.5 hours under extreme conditions (according to Battery Eater Pro).
