Why do you JailBreak your iPhone
Actualy it sounds soo concealed and against the rules , “jailbreaking” mobile phones is What most of the people do. It is Illegal in almost every country and few days back United States stated a new government ruling which made Jailbreaking legal. Good News For all the Americans.
But the qusetion is what does it mean? And why do people opt to jailbreak phones?Just as a simple answer : To gain More Control !!
These smart phones, particularly the iPhone, comes with restrictions on what type of applications — or programs — you can buy ,run and use, which cellular network you can use and, more importantly, what you can do with your phone. Its as if Apple has bound us to some Rules and regulations.
But here’s What you can do , Jailbreaking the iPhone will allow you to select from wide range of applications anywhere on the internet, not just the iTunes App Store, where all of the applications must be approved by Apple before they go on sale.
There are number of applications which Apple apparently didn’t approve and in future as well it won’t approve, and you can find many of these in a place called black market (now legal) app store for jail breakers, Nowadays These can be found in everywhere.
Here are some exciting apps among the iphone users which you can use if your phone is jailbroken, and you won’t find these in the Apple App Store :
“MyWi” : This application turns your iPhone into a mobile Wi-Fi hot spot. It means you can surf over the internet with a laptop, even if you can’t find or locate a public Wi-Fi network , and don’t have a 3G card.
“IntelliScreen” : This lets a user to customize the iPhone’s home screen, which normally just shows the date , time and a switch that allows you to open your phone. With this app, however, you’ll recieve your e-mails and calendar on the home screen, so you don’t have to open the phone to figure out what’s going on.
“Tlert” :Normally we have to open the iPhone’s text message program to respond to our msgs but this app lets you to view and reply to your msgs from any program or screen.
Perhaps , The most popular reason why people jailbreak their phones is to unlock them. The fundamental differences between “Jailbreaking” your phone, lets you download any application, and “Unlocking” it, allows you to access anyother wireless network with your iphone.
To Unlock your phone , you first have to jailbreak it. then you are suppose to download a application for example , Ultrasn0w , which will unlock your phone to other networks. If you have a unlocked iPhone then it will allow you to access other “GSM” networks and many international service providers who operate GSM networks, so people who travel frequently may want to unlock their iPhones to avoid international roaming fees. If your iPhone is unlocked, insert a SIM card from the new network you’d like to use and then enjoy your new iPhone . (On the iPhone variants 3G and 3GS, the SIM card is found at the top of your phone, take a paper clip insert it into a tiny hole and the SIM card pops out. With the iPhone 4, a mini-SIM card is on the side, but you’ll still need the paper clip.)
Apple says jailbreaking the iPhone makes it more likely to crash. Apple’s goal has always been to ensure that our customers have a great experience with their iPhone . The vast majority of iPhone users do not jailbreak their phones as it eventually violates the warranty and can cause the iPhone to become unstable and not work reliably. Jailbreaking the iPhone ends its warranty with Apple, so if your phone dead after it’s jailbroken, Apple doesn’t have to fix it. But connecting your phone to itunes will restore it to its original condition.
Now you are the ones who have to chose upto their satisfactions whether to jailbreak or not. Good Luck
