Apple iPhone 5 to have slightly curved front screen
Apple has always been distinguished for its excellent screens for the iPhone. Already last year, with the launch of the iPhone 4, the Cupertino company opted for Retinal Display technology and the use of LED backlighting, so it is not unreasonable to give credence to rumors that the new iPhone will have a screen covered by a curved glass to increase awareness and visibility of the images.
Screen similar to the iPod Nano and Google Nexus S
According to Digitimes, quoting the Chinese technology industry that is responsible for manufacturing and assembling components to Apple, its screen will be similar to that used in the fifth generation iPod Nano with excellent results. Thus, Apple would invest capital in the purchase of specific machinery for cutting this type of glass. Currently, only Google Nexus S, manufactured by Samsung, has a screen similar to that designed by Apple for its new iPhone.
Appearance and design of the iPhone 5
These rumors contrast with other information to ensure that the new Apple iPhone will be aesthetically similar to its predecessor, except for its alleged dual-core processor and, slightly larger screen (3.7 to 4 inches).
But not all on the internet believe this rumor circulating on the Internet and some ensure that it will follow in line of the previous iPhone. Other rumors within expertes say that Apple world ensures that the new iPhone will be smaller and thinner than it is today.
iPhone 5: smaller and thinner
So says Stéphane Richard, CEO of France Telecom in an interview at AllThingsD, who confirmed this fact by stating that the French Telecom company is working with Apple to integrate a smaller SIM card.
"We are working with Apple to standardize a new SIM card format that takes into account our need for security and authentication and is compatible with their wishes in terms of size. I realized that the next iPhone might be smaller and thinner and is without a doubt Apple's goal of optimizing the iPhone space, "said Ricard.
At the moment there is no date for launching the new iPhone in May, although all the rumors circulating on the Web now, suggest that the release of the device is imminent, and that would come after the summer, in September or October. For now, the Cupertino company, neither confirms nor denies this and is keeping quiet about it.
